ByTaco started with gifts. I've always been the kind of person who shows love by creating something, so for birthdays, holidays and every special occasion in between, I'd craft one of a kind pieces for the people I love. Somewhere along the way, I started giving them in the name of Taco, and just like that, a tradition was born. Taco became the one “in charge” of the gifts, my little inspiration, my reason to keep creating.
I've always been drawn to working with my hands, playing with machines, materials and new techniques just to see what I could bring to life. What started as gifts slowly grew into something bigger.
Then I went to my first art market. I saw talented artists selling beautiful, unique pieces, all part of a warm, welcoming community, and something clicked. I knew I wanted to be part of that too. I started with a couple of Latin American fairs, easing in with my native language, and then came my debut at Mellow Market, an opportunity I will never forget.
Since then, I haven't stopped. I'm always experimenting with new techniques and materials, showing up wherever I can, in places that fill my heart completely and make me genuinely happy.
Taco is my CEO, my muse, and the reason there's a story behind every piece. I want you to feel a little bit of what I feel for him, the joy, the chaos, the love, every time you hold something made by ByTaco.
By day, I'm a product designer. By heart, I'm just someone who loves creating for the people (and dogs) I love.
